The glass is fused in a kiln, then mounted over aluminium that has been polished to match the design. I make the stand-offs myself, and they are exclusively used for my art and not available for sale.
Once the aluminium has been polished, I spray the automotive clear coat before installing the glass. This prevents any corrosion when installed in outdoor living spaces.
The weight depends on the piece. For example, the "Oceanic Splendor" 60" X 30" weighs 60 lbs. "Paradisius" 46" X 22" 35 lbs, "Odysseys" 10"X 52" 15 lbs. "Crystal Reflections" 12" X 24" 9 lbs. Once the aluminium has been polished, I spray the automotive clear coat before installing the glass. This prevents any corrosion when installed in outdoor living spaces.
Each piece is ready to hang with picture wire hangers installed on the back. Locate where you want the piece to hang and use picture hangers or gorilla hooks.
Send an email of the piece you are interested in to me, and the process begins there. I can then quote prices and let you know what I have available or if I need to make one for you.
I try to have a version of every piece on the Glass Art page to sell at art shows. If not, I can make one for you.
Custom sizes and colors are available. Each project is unique, and I work on them one at a time.
Any art piece up to 24" can be shipped UPS with no problem. The Paradisus and Crystal Reflections(46" X 22") can be shipped in 2 boxes by UPS, and some assembly is required. Odysseys can be shipped in pairs. Larger pieces are shipped via freight and on a pallet. I use museum-quality boxing and crating to make sure the piece arrives safely.
We want you to love your new art. If, for some reason, you are not satisfied, ship the piece back to us and if we receive it in new condition, we can issue a refund.
Once we reach an agreement for purchase, I will send an invoice to you by email. You can then pay directly from there.
YES! And it is cool too.
- I made it from recycled materials from Hurricane Rita. The rest of the studio is also a conglomeration of recycled material buildings, including fused glass's kiln room.
- Shop, metalworking shop, spray room, and an observation tower overlook a pond. Visitors are by appointment only. We are located in a rural setting for about 30 minutes.
- North of Lake Charles, LA. We are located 2 1/2 hours from Houston and 2 1/2 hours from Baton Rouge. Picking up your new art piece directly from here is the best way to see where the inspiration came from. It saves shipping costs and the risk of breakage.
